Corporate Resources and Business Improvement
The Corporate Resources and Business Improvement directorate is led by executive director Dianne Tranmer. It's responsible for: People Function, Facilities Management, Digital Experience Unit and Technology Group, Information Governance, Executive Support Team and leadership of all our shared services across the GLA Group.
About the role
Provide co-ordination and support to teams and individuals in their work on London.gov.uk, associated sites and other digital channels.
Help ensure staff have the knowledge and tools they need to create concise and engaging content across the organisation’s digital platforms.
What your day will look like
· Supporting staff in creating and developing new digital content.
· Communicating self-service workflows and providing guidance for staff to easily engage with the team.
· Monitoring and triaging work submitted through self-service workflows.
· Training content owners to use the Content Management System (CMS) and similar systems to upload and communicate content.
· Supporting the development of the CMS training, including collating feedback.
· Providing general and administrative support to the team.
Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
· A genuine interest in the role that digital plays in Public Sector communications.
· Working knowledge of proofing, web copy editing and current accessibility and content accessibility best practice.
· Experience training and upskilling people.
· Experience of prioritising and managing numerous and varied items of work.
· Working knowledge of content management systems and experience creating and publishing digital content.
