An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior executive assistant, leader and manager to work with the Executive Support Team supporting the most senior Principals in the Mayor’s Office and Corporate Management Team at the Greater London Authority.
To succeed in this role you will have experience of leading or supporting a leader of a team, with an excellent track record of achievement working at a senior level in a high profile role, with well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
You will also be an accomplished and experienced senior executive assistant carrying out all the traditional duties such as managing a very busy diary, commissioning papers and responding to a wide range of correspondence and requests for information from a number of sources. You will be highly motivated and be familiar with and comfortable in handling all the delegated responsibilities associated with such a position.You will act as an important interface between senior Principals and a range of senior stakeholders, business leaders and politicians both internally and externally. You will be comfortable acting in an ambassadorial role for your Principal and also the wider team.
The Executive Support Team is high profile and operates in a busy and fast-paced environment, and therefore the role of Executive Support Manager is often challenging, but it also provides an opportunity to operate at a senior level using a wide range of skills. You must be at the top of your profession and very confident in operating in a leadership role that stretches your abilities, and be able to demonstrate the ability to remain calm and clear headed under pressure. You will need to be comfortable contributing to the leadership of the team, helping guide strategy and bringing well developed leadership and management skills into the management unit.
This role is based at City Hall in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). The Executive Support Team works to a hybrid model with each member of the team required to work in the office two days per week and three days working from home.
