We are seeking a talented individual to work in the GLA’s new corporate strategy team, working closely with the Mayor, senior leadership team, and policy teams on strategic communications and marketing activities to a range of audiences to support delivery of the Mayor’s strategies, evolving priorities, and projects.

A logical and strategic thinker, with good interpersonal skills and an excellent knowledge of traditional and digital marketing and communications channels, you will have the ability to write engaging, accessible, tailored content for a variety of policy-focused products, and will be comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing schedules.

You will demonstrate a flair for building strong relationships with London’s stakeholders, institutions and Londoners, putting them at the heart of City Hall policymaking, and be able to operate in a fast paced and political environment. Excellent planning and organising, research and problem-solving skills will also be crucial to your success.

The role requires a flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach, working across teams within the GLA Group, and with external partners, on many initiatives simultaneously.

Knowledge of different approaches to evidence-based policymaking, experience of undertaking policy analysis, and using quantitative and qualitative data and methodologies would be an advantage. However, strong applicants who can demonstrate that they have transferable skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly will also be considered.
