Passionate about people, communications and engagement? Experienced in the planning and delivery of marketing communications and events for a sizeable and high-profile development/regeneration/infrastructure project? We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our team on a temporary contract covering a period of maternity leave.

 

This exciting role will suit a passionate individual with drive and commitment to communicate and promote the work of OPDC and to deliver the Mayoral Development Corporation’s local, London-wide and international marcomms and events programme. OPDC is a Mayoral Development Corporation and the local planning authority for Old Oak and Park Royal. Working in the CEO Office in the Communications and Engagement team, you will plan, manage and deliver audience-focused marketing communications, an annual events programme and promotional activities using the full marketing mix across digital, social media and offline channels to communicate OPDC messages.

 

You’ll have the necessary experience and skills to use technical e-marketing tools like e-comms/database marketing systems, social media scheduling and reporting tools and website content management systems. You’ll have an eye-for-detail to ensure that marketing materials and PowerPoint presentations conform to OPDC and Mayoral of London brand & style guidelines; and have strong proof-reading skills to be able to refine text and messaging according to audience needs. You will champion and use audience research and insights in the development of marketing materials whilst considering accessibility requirements; and manage the full media planning & buying process with contracted media agency; as well as secure ‘owned’ and ‘earned’ media through partnerships to complement ‘bought’ activities. You will support the Head of Communications and Engagement across other workstreams including stakeholder comms and engagement, media activity/press releases, Q&As and FAQs; and, the management of delegated finance-related matters, supplier contracts, associated agency resources and staffing, and the OPDC Advanced Apprentice.
