Project Manager (Environment)

We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to work in the Environment Team at the Greater London Authority and deliver projects to cut London’s plastic waste, including a new water refill scheme and water fountains.

We are looking for exceptional candidates with experience of managing and delivering large-scale high value environmental projects and programmes and delivering results on target and within budget. Candidates must also have a track record in developing and delivering impactful campaign plans and procuring and overseeing communications and marketing for projects, as well securing support from influential and high-level stakeholders to deliver project objectives.  Candidates will need to demonstrate experience of business case development and project plan development. Experience of working in a political organisation is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to set the direction of the plastic waste project, keep momentum on project delivery and deliver at pace both directly and through partners. The successful candidate will be located in the Environment Team and report to a Policy and Strategy Manager in the Environment Team.
