Research Support Officer (Online Communications) – London Assembly Labour Group

Whether advising on a social media campaign or supporting the Senior Press Officer on a big regional story, you will play a pivotal role in meeting the media needs of the 12 Labour Assembly Members. With an active knowledge of the issues facing London, you will be poised to respond swiftly to emerging issues. Working with the Senior Press Officer you will draft social media content, online articles, proactive and reactive press releases, and letters to editor, to advance the political narrative of the Labour Group. With your role particularly focused on social and online media, you will work closely with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive social media strategy, tailored to the needs of individual Assembly Members and their constituencies. As a custodian of the Labour Group’s positive public profile, you will act as a first point of contact for journalists, responding to comment and interview requests in a timely and professional manner.
