Team Assistant and PA to the Assistant Director, Skills & Employment

Under the banner of ‘Skills for Londoners’ the skills agenda is at the heart of the Mayor of London’s vision for London, ensuring both Londoners and London’s businesses have the skills they need to succeed. The role of PA/Administrator within the Skills & Employment Unit is central to ensuring the Skills for Londoners programmes, including the Adult Education Budget (AEB) are delivered effectively. 

 

The successful candidate will provide diary, secretarial and administrative support services to the Assistant Director - Skills & Employment and other Senior Managers within the Skills & Employment Unit, which are responsive to their needs and contribute to making their role/s effective. 

 

As well as providing PA support to the Assistant Director, the role is based within the Unit’s Programmes, Governance & Compliance team and supports various corporate functions including responding to Mayoral correspondence and coordinating the Unit’s responses to questions to the Mayor form the London Assembly.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL) 

At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available at our offices in Union Street, where this role is based, and City Hall, More London. Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
