We are looking for 2 X Project Officers to join our busy education and youth team.
We’re passionate about improving the lives of young Londoners. Every child in London should have the best possible chance for happiness and success. All young Londoners should benefit from opportunities to thrive in safe and welcoming communities, a good school place and a chance to have a say and contribute to London’s future.
Working as a Project Officer you will support the delivery of the Mayor’s £45m Young Londoner’s Fund and other initiatives in the Education and Youth Team. This will involve managing a range of projects to help children and young people to fulfil their potential, particularly those at risk of getting caught up in crime. You will engage a range of stakeholders and partners to ensure projects meet the needs of young Londoners and are in line with the mayor’s manifesto commitments. You will also help to deliver a wide range of events to promote the work of the team and share good practice.
The ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of education, children and young people policy and practice. You’ll need to have experience in supporting commissioning/contract delivery through to completion, as well as strong marketing and event support skills. Enthusiasm to work for the benefit of all young Londoners, particularly the most disadvantaged, is a must.
