HR Business Partner x 2

We are currently recruiting two experienced HR Business Partners.

As senior members of the Human Resources and Organisational Development unit, you will have the opportunity to use the full breadth of your operational and strategic HR expertise to support the Greater London Authority’s aim to be an exemplary employer in London.

You will be responsible for delivering the full spectrum of strategic and operational HR services, building successful relationships with senior managers and providing customer focused HR advice, coaching and solutions that support them in the management of workforce issues and major change programmes.

You will ideally be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, you will demonstrate significant relevant senior level experience. Your track record will include the provision of employee relations advice within a complex organisation, experience of managing change programmes, contributing to policy development and a proven ability to win the trust and confidence of senior managers.

You will need to ‘hit the ground running’, be able to work at a fast-pace, advocate for embracing change, and enjoy working in a high-profile political environment.

Human Resources Business Partner (Workforce and Systems)

12-month fixed term contract or secondment (FTC0136)

In addition to the Business Partner responsibilities, you will support GLA objectives and drive organisation development and performance, by overseeing the implementation and development of HR information systems and corporate reporting. 

You will also manage health and wellbeing contracts and oversee the scoping, procurement and implementation of future human resources systems for the unit. You will demonstrate a high degree of numeracy and experience in defining specifications to procure goods and services and experience of working within public sector procurement requirements.

Human Resources Business Partner (Policies & Employee Relations)
Permanent (P3118)


In addition to the Business Partner responsibilities, you will lead on HR policy development to support line managers and the business to achieve its potential and work with trade unions, supporting the Joint Consultative Committee and HR Director with corporate level employee relations engagement.

We would also consider secondment arrangements (12-18 months) for this role.
