The Royal Docks is a unique part of Newham and London. It is a dynamic area with successful institutions and new development sites in a unique environment. It is at the heart of the draft London Plan’s ambitions for housing and employment growth and is London’s only Enterprise Zone.

The Mayor of London and the Mayor of Newham established the Royal Docks Team in 2017 as a joint initiative to drive forward the regeneration of the Royal Docks. In July 2018 the London LEAP approved a unique £314m Delivery Plan to invest in the area and we need talented and enthusiastic people to help achieve the ambitions of that Delivery Plan.

The Royal Docks team is seeking a maternity cover to join the team in October 2018 and work on key parts of the Royal Docks Delivery Plan over the next year. The work will include leading on the procurement and management of a consultancy team that will help shape the future role, content and function of the public realm and the use of the water in the Royal Docks. You will also be involved in supporting meanwhile uses, engaging with community group and delivering various place making and connectivity projects.

You will join a small team of dedicated professionals working with local stakeholders and the community to shape an exciting future for the Royal Docks.

This role will be based at The Crystal Building, Siemens Brothers Way, London, E16 1GB.
