London Borough of Culture – Communications Coordinator - (Culture and Creative Industries)

The GLA’s Culture and Creative Industries Unit is recruiting a Communications Co-ordinator to support the next phase of London Borough of Culture programme, a flagship programme in the Mayor’s Culture Strategy – Culture for all Londoners. This is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate team, helping to shape the cultural agenda for London.

 

The Mayor’s Culture Strategy sets out an ambitious vision for how culture can support the good growth and well-being of the capital, for all Londoners. As a key new role in the London Borough of Culture team, you will lead on stakeholder communications and broader engagement across London Boroughs and the cultural sector across London, acting as the interface between the Mayor’s office and boroughs. 

 

You will have experience of developing and implementing integrated communication strategies, working with the media, and managing communications campaigns related to the cultural sector. Your experience of working with high profile stakeholders and senior management in a complex political environment will be key in ensuring effective communications for a wide and varied audience. Your excellent writing skills will enable you to effectively lead on the preparation of briefings and speeches for press events and public announcements. You will also be experienced in successful planning and delivey of large-scale stakeholder events.
