Principal Social Policy Analyst

Our Intellience Unit is expanding our social evidence base to address the Mayor of London’s priorities on social integration and social mobility. We have two opportunities for people who want to apply their analytical knowledge and skills to improve the lives of Londoners.

 

The successful candidate will benefit from the opportunity to build an authoritative centre of excellence on the measurement of social integration and social mobility. You will lead the creation of the GLA’s social evidence base, which brings together these and the inter-related issues of diversity and inclusion, economic fairness, active citizenship, regeneration and others.

 

You will be customer-focused and experienced in providing specialist analytical advice to policy teams in implementing the strategies in these areas. You will identify priorities for a programme of research and lead work to fill evidence gaps, providing insight and feedback to support policy development.

 

You’ll need experience developing and delivering a wide range of policy-focused social analysis projects from conception through to publication, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of research partners.


This is a 2 year fixed term contract or secondment opportunity.
