Communications and Engagement Manager

Passionate about people, communications and engagement? Experienced in developing, managing and delivering integrated on and offline marketing campaigns, event programmes and community and stakeholder engagement strategies? This exciting opportunity will suit a talented individual who is passionate and committed to promoting the Mayor of London’s vision for Old Oak and Park Royal, to internal and external audiences, and to the strategic delivery of projects and comms campaigns.

OPDC is a Mayoral Development Corporation and the local planning authority responsible for the development of Old Oak and the regeneration of Park Royal. Working in the CEO Office in the Communications and Engagement team, you will manage and oversee projects and resources and evaluate campaigns and report on performance. You will govern corporate messaging, comms lines, materials and engagement content to ensure consistency across work areas and to protect and strengthen the corporation’s brand and identity.

 

You will be driven, committed and disciplined to support the Head of Communications and Engagement (HCE) and deputise when needed. You will manage finance, budgeting, tender and recruitment processes and help to make key decisions. You will manage the priorities of the CEO and Chairman, and attend meetings with senior team members, stakeholders and partners. Ideally, you will have worked in development and regeneration in London; delivered planning policy, development management, place-making and place-marketing comms; managed events, press and media; and drove forward community and stakeholder engagement strategies. It is required that you are organised and preferred that you possess technical skills, knowledge and experience in the fields of masterplanning, land assembly and infrastructure delivery.
