The Royal Docks is a complex and exciting project, one that requires strategic direction and people who can help us to develop and manage transformative regeneration programmes. Join us in one of these hands-on roles, and you’ll work closely with GLA teams, the London Borough of Newham, public and private sector funding partners, and local organisations to oversee and create the programmes that will shape the future of the area.
The opportunity
Supporting the Head of Business, Governance and Programmes, you’ll help us track and manage the diverse range of projects and programmes underway within the Royal Docks Enterprise Zone. That means developing and implementing programme management processes and carrying out rigorous performance management assessments. You’ll produce reports, options appraisals and recommendations for the senior management team, support the commissioning and procurement of consultants and contractors, and contribute to strategic planning of future work.
The person
With senior level experience of managing large regeneration and development programmes, you’re likely to be familiar with a formal project management methodology such as MSP or Prince 2. You will have a track-record of developing and establishing business and programme management processes, and experience of controlling large budgets, cash flows and management accounts. You’ll be equipped to manage contractors and consultants, and to engage with stakeholders at a senior level. Strong organisational and planning abilities are, of course, essential and will be matched by well-developed IT skills, communication skills and experience of report writing.
Application Process
Please apply using your CV and a two page (maximum) covering letter. It is important you provide evidence of your skills, knowledge and experience and information outlined in the person specification for the role. Short listing will be carried out on the information on your CV and covering letter.
