Making housing happen for London

The housing crisis is one of the greatest challenges facing the capital – and the Mayor of London has ambitious plans to tackle it. The Greater London Authority (GLA) is working hard to make genuinely affordable homes a reality for more people. The scale of the challenge is huge, but so is our commitment. Together we can build a London for everyone.

The opportunity

Your skills will be vital to delivering new housing initiatives. Focused on enhancing existing systems and processes, as well as developing new ones, you’ll engage subject-matter experts across the GLA’s Housing and Land directorate for their input. You’ll then scope out and develop business requirements to support diverse housing programmes and projects. We’ll look to you to achieve consistency of approach and best practice, so a focus on training, guidance and governance work will be key.

The person

To succeed, you’ll need experience of developing business requirements and processes that support the delivery of housing projects and programmes. This should include a readiness, to provide constructive challenge to senior managers and operational staff. You’ll know how to evaluate projects and programmes to ensure they are continuously improved and will be experienced in using feedback to identify new tools and systems. Excellent communication skills are essential.
