Principal Policy and Programme Officer (Environment)

We are seeking to appoint a Principal Policy and Programme Officers to work in the Zero Carbon Policy team, part of the Environment Team at the Greater London Authority to lead on its carbon budgets work and develop the policies that will put London on track to be zero carbon by 2050.

 

We are looking for exceptional candidates with experience of interpreting, formulating and implementing environment and energy policy and ideally technical experience in low carbon system buildings and technologies. You will work to develop policies around the transformation of London’s energy system including managing the electricity network impacts of electric vehicle charging and distributed generation.

 

You will have experience of both undertaking and managing qualitative and quantitative research programmes and will be able to communicate and disseminate results clearly. You will have experience of developing and implementing new work programmes, complex project management and working with external stakeholders to drive environmental change.
