Business Support Officer

The Royal Docks is a complex and exciting project, one that requires strategic direction and people who can help us to develop and manage transformative regeneration programmes. Join us in one of these hands-on roles, and you’ll work closely with GLA teams, the London Borough of Newham, public and private sector funding partners, and local organisations to oversee and create the programmes that will shape the future of the area.

The opportunity

From organising meetings and travel to analysing data, ordering office supplies to preparing reports and presentations, this is a hugely varied administrative role within a dynamic and fast-changing organisation. You’ll support a diverse range of projects and people, ensuring everything runs smoothly. It’s a great opportunity to learn about project and programme management and to hone your organisational skills.

The person

We’re looking for someone with a level head and plenty of initiative. You’re likely to have some experience in a secretarial, administrative or business support role, and must be fully computer literate with a good level proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. If you have any knowledge of project management systems or databases, so much the better. Flexibility and good communication skills are also essential.
