Culture Diary Project Manager

The Mayor’s Culture Team are looking for a talented individual to oversee the next stage of The Culture Diary project.  Working with leaders of the UK culture sector who work internationally, you will identify opportunities for links with government agencies, helping to deliver a return on investment. You will liaise regularly with government stakeholders (GREAT campaign, Arts Council England, British Council, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK Trade & Investment and VisitBritain) to help Identify and plan events to exploit cultural activity happening internationally.

You will identify and plan events and opportunities to exploit cultural activity happening overseas.  You will work closely with government agencies, being an advocate for The Culture Diary, through attendance at events and presentations. You will have a strong track record in project management, high level stakeholder engagement, event delivery, developing digital projects and a good working knowledge of the culture sector.  You will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development of the Culture Diary  website, newsletter, publications and the promotion of the Diary to London’s and the UK’s culture sector. You will have experience of drawing up marketing strategies, social media plans and managing communication campaigns, plus managing staff and budgets.

This is a fixed-term contract until March 2017
