Senior Manager - Team London (Volunteering)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join, and take a lead role in, the Mayor’s volunteering programme for London, working with diverse Londoners to increase volunteering and support for communities across the capital.   

Team London makes it quick and easy for Londoners to give up their time, find volunteer opportunities and do great things for their city. We have a strong focus on improving social integration through volunteering and supporting Londoners of all ages to develop life-skills through social action.   

In this role, you will be responsible for delivery of the London Squad, the Euro2020 Host City volunteer programme, deploying 2,000 volunteers over the life of the tournament. You will also oversee our volunteering programmes supporting Major Events and Visitor Welcome in London.

You will be experienced in building relationships and influencing senior decision-makers in the third sector, education, business and sport.   

You will lead on the strategy, development and delivery of large-scale projects in line with our priorities, in particular in relation to social integration.

You will work with delivery partners and key stakeholders to ensure that maximum benefit is achieved for Londoners through programmes like  the London Squad and our Major Event Volunteering programmes.

You will have a track record of staff, budget and project management and be able to demonstrate your ability to manage a portfolio of projects and manage multiple stakeholders.  

You will have a passion for social action and volunteering and experience of working with volunteers, community groups and young people.
