Programme Officer – LEAP Delivery Team

The Greater London Authority is looking to appoint a Programme Officer, to act as delivery lead for a wide range of capital projects across the existing Further Education Capital programme, the Growing Places Fund and the new Skills for Londoners Capital Fund which combined represent a grant value of £324m. These programmes respond directly to priorities of the Mayor and London Enterprise Action Partnership (the London LEP). You will be joining a friendly, high functioning team consisting of 7 people, working in a fast-paced environment within the GLA’s Regeneration and Economic Development Unit.

 

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with experience of project and programme management, able to build and maintain strong relationships with other GLA teams, LEAP and public and private sector funding partners, working closely with these to ensure excellent project outcomes. A good understanding of the planning and political context of London is required, ideally including familiarity with economic development, regeneration, place-making, design quality management as well as ideally, web based project management systems design.

 

You will leading the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects, from assessment of funding applications, through to contracting of funding agreements and the monitoring and reporting of project performance, You’ll play a key role in ensuring successful delivery of major city-wide initiatives, from high-profile holistic regeneration projects, commercial developments, educational estates development schemes focused on London’s extensive Further Education sector, to capital infrastructure projects all with a key focus on economic development and growth.
