Senior Project Officer (Insecure Immigration Status)

The GLA’s Social Integration team is seeking to recruit an experienced officer to work on supporting Londoners with insecure immigration status. 

 

We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of the policy issues impacting Londoners with insecure status and with strong project management skills and experience.  

 

The successful candidate will deliver projects and contribute to policy work aimed at supporting Londoners to resolve their citizenship and settlement needs and increasing the accessibility and reach of immigration advice and casework services in London. They will be expected to work strategically with funders, local authorities and other public organisations and with civil society to promote innovation and proactively share learning.

This is an opportunity for interested applicants to talk to members of the GLA migration team, find out more about the current vacancies and ask questions.  The session will include a short introduction about the team structure and work around refugee resettlement and migration policy.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL)At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available.  Over the coming weeks and months, we will be moving to hybrid working as part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
