Culture & Heritage Programme Coordinator (2018 Centenary of Women’s Vote)

The Mayor of London will lead a flagship campaign to mark the Centenary of the Women’s Vote in 2018.

 

The goal of the campaign is to ensure that the significance of London’s people and places is told and celebrated in 2018 through a year-long capital-wide culture, education & heritage programme.

 

This programme includes flagship culture & heritage projects which celebrate the achievements of women over the last century but also others which look to the potential of future generations and drive change.

 

As the 2018 Culture & Heritage Programme Coordinator, you will work closely with the culture team and act as a point of contact for the project team. On behalf of the culture team, you will coordinate a high-profile programme of cultural & heritage engagement activity and support a regional network of key partners to maximise the potential for organisations as part of the GLA’s campaign. One major programme you will work on is an engagement programme is designed to complement the commission of a statue in Parliament Square commemorating Millicent Fawcett by British artist, Gillian Wearing OBE.

 

You will be an experienced coordinator working in the culture or heritage sector with expertise in delivering cultural programmes of scale.

 

You will have strong organisational and communications skills, good attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

 

This role is offered as a fixed term contract or secondment until December 2018.
