Senior Manager - Team London (Volunteering)


This is an exciting opportunity to join, and take a lead role in, the Mayor’s volunteering programme for London, working with young people and adults to increase volunteering and support for communities across the capital.   

Team London makes it quick and easy for Londoners to give up their time, find volunteer opportunities and do great things for their city. We have a strong focus on improving social integration through volunteering and supporting Londoners of all ages to develop life-skills through social action.   

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for how Team London will work with the young people, in schools as well as how our adult volunteering programmes supporting Major Events and Tourism in London. You will be experienced in building relationships and influencing senior decision-makers in education, business and the third sector.   

You will lead on the strategy, development and delivery of large-scale projects in line with our priorities, in particular in relation to social integration.

You will work with delivery partners and key stakeholders to ensure that maximum benefit is achieved for Londoners through programmes like Team London Young Ambassadors and our Major Event Volunteering programmes.

You will have a track record of staff, budget and project management and be able to demonstrate your ability to manage a portfolio of projects and manage multiple stakeholders. 
 

You will have a passion for social action and volunteering and experience of working with volunteers, community groups and young people.   

This role will offer you the opportunity to work in a high-profile political environment with a wide range of community and charitable organisations.  It will give you the ability to influence young people’s futures through the Team London Young Ambassador programme and bring diverse groups of Londoners together. 
 

You will have the chance to work with businesses to involve them in supporting Team London’s aims, working together to increase impact for young people and the community.
