The GLA is looking for a financial professional to undertake a new management role in its internal finance unit, following the devolution of functions to the Mayoralty in recent years.

Working to the Finance Manager (Corporate), the postholder will line manage four members of staff and be adept at:

Working with senior managers to deliver their budget responsibilities;
Presenting complex financial advice to non-finance professionals clearly and robustly; and
Assuming responsibility for technically complex areas of the budget.

You will have full membership of a professional accountancy body, experience of budgeting – and the types of projects which underpin those budgets – in the public or private sectors in a similar role, and would see this as an opportunity to extend your experience in a challenging and high profile public sector organisation.
