Research & Support Officer (Liberal Democrats)

The GLA is looking to recruit a Research and Support Officer to provide support to Liberal Democrat London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon MBE AM, and to lead on a number of different policy areas including housing, planning, policing and crime. Your work will include undertaking research and providing policy briefings, helping draft questions to the Mayor, liaising with the public and external organisations, managing correspondence and extensive amounts of casework, organising meetings and other related support tasks. Diary management for Caroline Pidgeon is also a vital part of this role. The work is fast moving and varied.

 

You will need a good understanding of the work of the London Assembly and a high level of political awareness, together with sound organisational, administrative and written communication skills, along with experience of building relationships with a wide range of people. Knowledge of policy issues facing the capital would be an advantage.

This role is based at City Hall.
