The Greater London Authority (GLA) along with key stakeholders has secured European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) to deliver the Better Futures Cleantech Incubator as part of the wider development of a Cleantech Innovation cluster for London and is looking for an experienced project manager to take up the role of ERDF Project Officer.

The post will support GLA staff as the accountable body with the delivery of the Better Futures ERDF project, to ensure successful delivery and compliance. Support will be provided from project delivery to closure. This will include assisting with the set up and co-ordination of the necessary support and project management systems for the Better Futures project, in line with the requirements of the ERDF 2014 – 2020 programme, and specifically leading on communications, marketing and evaluation as well as general project management and monitoring.

To succeed you will need a thorough knowledge of sustainable development or the cleantech low carbon sector and experience of implementing sustainability in a political environment, including a successful track record of communicating such complex issues. 

You will need strong project management skills and the ability to ensure that the key policy themes are properly integrated. Strong relationship building, presentation and writing skills are essential, and you must be able to operate effectively in a sensitive political environment.
