Senior Development Manager X2

Building the partnerships that create homes

The housing crisis is one of the greatest challenges facing the capital – and the Mayor of London has ambitious plans to tackle it. The Greater London Authority (GLA) is working hard to make genuinely affordable homes a reality for more people. The scale of the challenge is huge, but so is our commitment. Together we can build a London for everyone.

The opportunity

Contribute your property expertise to high-profile land development across the capital, leading projects that help to create new jobs and homes for Londoners. This will include a key role in accelerating the delivery of new homes on public land. You’ll provide professional advice on procurement, development viability, land acquisition and disposal, and design or town planning. You will identify new initiatives and projects, lead them through the investment approvals process, and report on activity as they progress.

The person

You'll have significant experience of regeneration or development, including the management of large projects from inception to completion. This requires a sound grasp of technical issues such as procurement, design, project finance, viability and planning. Experience of structuring development agreements and joint ventures in the development sector is vital. You'll also need to understand the principles of placemaking. Adept at building effective relationships, you'll have exceptional influencing and negotiating skills.

Application Process

Please apply using your CV and a two page (maximum) covering letter. It is important you provide evidence of your skills, knowledge and experience and information outlined in the person specification for the role. Short listing will be carried out on the information on your CV and covering letter.
