Principal Policy and Programme Officer

The GLA Environment Unit is recruiting to a principal role within the Energy Efficiency and Delivery.  

The Mayor of London’s manifesto set his ambition for London to become one of the greenest cities ever. At the centre of this ambition is his commitment to make London a zero carbon city by 2050, and through his flagship Energy for Londoners programme, drive buildings energy efficiency and renewable generation, help to cut energy bills, and reduce fuel poverty. This also includes the establishment of a new energy supply company for London. The new post will play a crucial role in achieving this vision.

Successful applicants will demonstrate an in depth understanding of Energy or Green Infrastructure issues within London and a track record of managing multiple projects and project teams successfully, delivering on target and within budget.  You will have exceptional communication skills, demonstrated through the drafting of clear and concise reports and the ability to influence multi-stakeholder groups at a senior level.
