The GLA City Intelligence Unit’s (CIU) analysis and advice informs key investment decisions at the Greater London Authority (GLA). The GLA requires high quality information to ensure that the strategies we develop and the projects we deliver are based on sound data and evidence.
From 2019/2020 the Adult Education Budget (AEB) will be devolved to the Mayor. The AEB is worth about £310 million a year in London and delivers training to adults aged 19+. To support the successful delivery of the AEB budget the CIU will need to manage and extract information from the Individual Learner Record (ILR) dataset, which contains a wide range of learner and qualification delivery data that publicly funded education organisations must collect. The successful applicant for this role will manage this data and work cross-teams to produce analysis.
You will be highly numerate with substantial experience in the management, analysis and interpretation of large complex computerised datasets with a strong proficiency in applying statistical techniques using a variety of software/codebases (such as R and SQL). The successful candidate will also have in-depth detailed knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record, standard ILR and other related AEB-related statistics.
