Communications & Liaison Officer

Could you help tackle London’s housing crisis and increase the impact of our Homes for Londoners teams?

Tackling London’s housing crisis is one of the Mayor’s top priorities. Whilst doing so will be a marathon and not a sprint the first two years have been busy. Achievements include securing a record £3.15bn from government for investment into affordable housing, setting London’s highest ever housing targets in the draft London Plan, launching the Rogue Landlord and Letting Agent Checker, involving Londoner’s in taking action to help rough sleepers and establishing a £250m revolving fund for more proactive engagement in the land market.

The next year is set to be even busier. We are looking for a driven and committed person, with excellent written communication skills to help increase the impact of the work of partners and the Homes for Londoners teams. Working with the Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Property on a daily basis this role will lead and organise communications activities, visits, events and showcases with partner organisations.

We are looking for an excellent problem solver, who is politically aware, with experience of complex event management. You will work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and have first class relationship building skills.
