Planning a sustainable and healthy new transport network at Old Oak and Park Royal
This is your chance to help shape London’s largest regeneration project as part of the Mayor of London’s Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC).
The future regeneration of Old Oak and Park Royal requires a comprehensive approach to transport planning and delivery. OPDC is tasked with delivering a new part of London delivering 25,500 new homes and 65,000 new jobs. The scale of transformation planned will require a completely new transport network within Old Oak and improvements to the existing network in Park Royal.
As Principal Transport Officer you will lead, in OPDC’s role as Local Planning Authority, on planning for this future transport network. This will include assessing planning applications, preparation of planning policy and guidance, progressing feasibility studies and strategy across a broad range of transport issues, working with TfL on transport modelling and influencing their public transport proposals, as well as working to influence the transport requirements for the proposed HS2 station at Old Oak.
You will come to us with a proven track record across any of the following transport areas of transport, planning, strategy and delivery. You will understand both the importance and complexity of embedding a sustainable transport network across the Old Oak Park Royal area, and will have the passion to work across OPDC, TfL and the GLA to find solutions to challenging problems.
