Project Officer (Third Sector)

Volunteering and social action activity helps to deliver Mayoral priorities such as social integration, building employability skills and reducing mental health inequalities. But not all Londoners have the chance to volunteer as there are barriers such as time, knowledge of opportunities and confidence. Team London and Community Sport works to break down these barriers and make volunteering more accessible and more recognised.

Our ultimate aims are to make volunteering open to all; increase the value for volunteering in London; improve the volunteering experience in London; and support Mayoral priorities through social action.

The Third Sector Project Officer is a 12 month fixed term opportunity covering maternity leave. The successful post holder will manage projects and work directly with our charity stakeholders. This is an exciting time for Team London as we develop our offer for the Third Sector and explore how it can be strengthened and developed. You will work alongside the wider team to deliver key projects including our Team London Small Grants, Skill-UP modules and HeadStart internship programme, as well as providing support to other initiatives as part of the wider team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong organisations skills, teamwork, excellent administration and communication skills and have a passion for the third sector and volunteering.

The role is 4 days (29.6 hours) per week.
