Project Support Officer (Graphics)

As the Mayor's team responsible for driving London's sustainable economic growth through placed based regeneration, it's our job to ensure that London remains a global success story - in the next year, the next decade and in the next century. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the GLA’s Development, Enterprise and Environment Directorate to help drive this process. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery a wide range of spatial, employment generating, infrastructure and environmental projects as part of the Mayor’s Regeneration agenda. Working within the Regeneration Team, you will provide project support for major regeneration, economic development and public realm projects across the whole of London, with a particular focus on graphics and design support. You will help to reshape London, playing a role in implementing the projects that will meet the Mayor’s vision and strategy for London as a 21st century city.

Key skills for this role include excellent planning and organisational skills, good communication skills, experience of relationship management and an ability to respond effectively to pressure and changing priorities. A core function of this post will be to provide graphic and mapping support across the whole of the Regeneration Team so some wider design experience would also be an advantage.

You will have:

Experience of using graphics and/or mapping software including Adobe Creative Suite (Essential) and GIS (Desirable)Demonstrable ability and experience of project delivery management

Strong IT skills and experience of using financial or project management systems and processes

An awareness of the planning and political context of London including experience of economic development, planning, regeneration, place-making and design quality management.

It is also important that the successful candidate understands the importance of good internal governance processes and programme management.
