Programme Office Manager - Regeneration and Economic Development Unit

The Greater London Authority are looking for a Programme Office Manager to lead a small but dynamic Programme Office for the Regeneration and Economic Development Unit within the GLA’s Development, Enterprise & Environment Directorate.

Supported by a small team, you’ll provide programme management for a wide range of regeneration projects to meet both Mayoral and London’s Local Economic Partnerships’ priorities, within both existing programmes currently in delivery, and new funding opportunities as they arise.

Leading the preparation, implementation and operation of programme monitoring information and documentation, you’ll play a key role in ensuring successful delivery of high-profile holistic regeneration initiatives, all with a key focus on regeneration, economic development and good growth. This will entail building and maintaining strong working relationships with other GLA teams, London’s Local Economic Partnership, central government departments, public and private sector delivery and funding partners, London Boroughs and other key stakeholders.

Along with demonstrable experience and a track record of managing a small team and knowledge of formal programme and project management processes, you will have a good understanding of the planning and political context of London and this should ideally include a familiarity with economic development and regeneration. In addition, you will have extensive experience of performance management and controlling large budgets, tracking of deliverables and outcomes and the production and coordination of governance, approval and management information to support reporting both internally and to central government.

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual with the ability to translate business aims into effective practical steps for the benefit of Londoners and to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and by way of written reports.
