We’re looking for a Senior Digital Communications Officer to join the Greater London Authority digital communications team at City Hall, London. If you’re a creative digital specialist, ready to take the Mayor of London’s channels to the next level, this could be just the job for you.
You’ll help develop and deliver our social media, email, and video programmes to meet communications and marketing strategic goals. Naturally, you’ll be a self starter who can take an idea and run with it from start to finish. We want someone who can find, create and evaluate great content for a variety of strategic purposes across multiple mediums - from social, email, digital advertising and web journeys, to photography and videos. You’ll be a champion for continual evaluation and optimisation based on analytics and insights, and know how to use a budget to get results and maximise impact.
You’ll be a real people person and a confident communicator who’s happy dealing with staff at all levels and across functions, including press, design, and policy. You’ll have line management responsibilites and be ready to stand in for the Digital Communications Manager as needed.
You’ll thrive under pressure and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll understand how a politically sensitive organisation works, and what role digital comms plays in this context.
Top notch copywriting skills is crucial as is experience of high profile social media, digital advertising and email campaigns working in, for example, a communications, marketing, public sector or PR environment. You’ll also need line management experience.
