Policy and Projects Officer – Civil Society Data

London’s civil society is a vital sector, supporting individuals and communities to thrive in the capital. The thousands of small community based groups and voluntary organisations that make up this sector collect invaluable data and insight about London’s communities.

This role will work with partners across London to gather and use this data to improve policy making in London, and strengthen the sector.  Working closely with the lead policy officer, community engagement team, and GLA Intelligence Unit, it requires someone who can confidently build relationships with a wide range of organisations, who can see the value of raw data that civil society organisations are collecting, and who can identify practical changes to the GLA’s systems so we can better use this data.

It would suit someone who has worked with monitoring or evolution of civil society organisations before, and who is interested in the interface between data, policy and communities.
