Our Intelligence Unit is expanding our social evidence base to address the Mayor of London’s priorities on social integration and social mobility. We have the opportunity for someone to lead this work and apply their analytical knowledge and skills to improve the lives of Londoners.

 

The successful candidate will benefit from the opportunity to build a centre of excellence on the measurement of social integration and social mobility. You will lead the creation of the GLA’s social evidence base, which brings together these and the inter-related issues such as of diversity and inclusion, and economic fairness.

 

You will be customer-focused and have experience in providing specialist analytical advice to policy teams implementing the strategies in these areas. You will have excellent data analysis skills with a track record of undertaking policy-focused analysis projects.

 

You will identify evidence gaps and develop a programme of research to fill these, using your experience of managing projects from conception to publication. Working alongside a range of GLA teams you will lead the development of a varied set of outputs to form our social evidence base (e.g. indicator frameworks, evidence summaries), ensuring that future policies are based on robust evidence and measurement.

 

This is a 2 year fixed term contract or secondment opportunity
