With a number of initiatives already set to launch, we need talented people to help us see them through. Put your project management and development experience to work here, and you’ll deliver mixed-use developments to benefit all Londoners, working with leading developers on some of the capital’s largest projects.
The opportunity
Use your background in development to manage relationships with public landowners, stakeholders and the local community, and provide specialist support and advice to the Royal Docks team. Specifically, you’ll oversee land, development and/or strategy projects. This will include appraising project proposals to ensure they meet our delivery plan and objectives for new homes, economic development and regeneration. You will also provide regular reporting on projects, including outputs, budgets and risks, and make recommendations to assist with key decisions.
The person
With a background in the property sector, you’ll have experience of leading and developing complex development projects. This will include a sound grasp of technical issues such as procurement, design, project finance and planning. Experience of structuring development agreements and joint ventures in the development sector is vital. Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the principles of place-making are also essential. Adept at building effective working relationships, you’ll have strong influencing and negotiating skills.
