HR Officer (MOPAC)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Officer to work in the GLA HR team and have responsibility for providing HR support to the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). This role will be based at City Hall, SE1

You will help ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a shared HR service to MOPAC by being a key point of contact for MOPAC staff at all levels, and for applicants applying to work in MOPAC, and getting involved in a wide variety of HR responsibilities.

You will provide the full spectrum of human resources activity, including recruitment, administering payroll and contractual changes, advising on terms and conditions, and providing advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of operational and policy issues.

Your track record will be in a similar role where you have provided a first-class HR service to staff and managers.  You will possess a good knowledge of employment law, and a pragmatic approach to implementing HR policy and procedure. You will have exceptional communication skills, be able to use your initiative with good judgement, and understand the importance of confidentiality.
