Senior Executive Support Officer (Senior PA)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Executive Support Officer to join the Greater London Authority’s Corporate Management Team.

You will be supporting the Head of Office, in providing high level secretarial, administrative and research services to the GLA’s Senior Management Team.  This will include all the traditional duties such as managing diaries, arranging meetings, taking minutes and responding to a wide range of correspondence and requests for information.  You will also act as an important interface between the Senior Management Team and a range of GLA managers and staff, senior figures in the GLA Group, local and central government and other key stakeholders.

Providing comprehensive budget support to the Head of Office is also a requirement of the role.  You will also deputise for the Head of Office which will include line management.

This is a highly pressurised and dynamic post. To be successful in this fast-paced and demanding role you will have an excellent track record in a similar challenging high profile role supporting senior management. You will need excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, from dealing with queries from members of the public to handling senior figures.  You will be experienced in managing and coordinating high volumes of work and will be confident carrying out research and producing written work.  You will need to be able to work flexibly as you respond to real time issues.
