The opportunity

Helping to promote a diverse and sustainable business ecosystem in the Royal Docks, you will manage a range of economic projects and programmes that deliver inward investment and transformative change to the local community. This means engaging with a range of employers, developers and other partners with a stake in the area to identify challenges and shape solutions, with a particular focus on growth and workspace. Managing a number of project streams, you will monitor progress and track spending against budget. You will also procure and manage the services of a range of consultants.

The person

Your background could be in economic development, capital initiatives, urban regeneration, city planning or a related area, but you’re likely to have some project management experience and a solid understanding of the workspace and good growth agenda. You will also need to be familiar with best practice community consultation and have some experience of managing consultants. Proficiency in IT packages such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential. The ability to think strategically, be flexible and innovative in approach and to communicate clearly is also vital.
