The GLA’s Culture and Creative Industries Unit is recruiting a new role to increase support some of London’s most exciting capital and infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate team, helping to shape London’s cultural infrastructure.
The Mayor’s Culture Strategy sets out an ambitious vision for how culture can support the good growth and well-being of the capital, for all Londoners. As a key new role in the Cultural Infrastructure and Public Realm team, you will lead the development of city-wide initiatives which promote urban regeneration, social cohesion and economic growth across London. This will include playing a central role in the delivery of East Bank, supporting the Museum of London capital project and contributing to the developing of other large scale strategic cultural infrastructure projects, particularly where they align with Mayoral developments, Opportunity Areas or GLA funding programmes.
You will have significant experience of developing and delivering impact through complex and large scale new projects which support the principles of Good Growth. Your proven track record will include delivering successful regeneration projects, project planning and evaluation, fundraising and budget management, contract and risk management.
With a good understanding of the strategic issues facing Londoners and London’s cultural and creative industries, you will have experience of evaluating delivery of projects to develop and inform regeneration and cultural policy and good practice.
You will have excellent negotiating, influencing and communication skills, including experience of preparing written reports, newsletters and briefings. You will be able to manage your time effectively in a fast-paced changing environment with a solution focused mindset.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL)
At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available at our offices based at City Hall, More London. Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office. The Culture & Creative Industries Unit is anchored at the Union Street building.
