Marketing Executive

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to join City Hall’s marketing team, ensuring all Londoners are aware of the Mayor’s policies and programmes and how to participate in their city.

This is a challenging and rewarding role for someone with fresh ideas and a passion for marketing.  You should love London and want to know what makes Londoners tick. You’ll have worked on many campaigns – especially digital ones.  You will also know how to shape attitudes and change people’s behaviours.

As Marketing Executive, you’ll be involved in a range of campaigns across multiple policy areas. That means creating engaging social media content and managing design assets with internal and external suppliers. You could get involved in our high-profile events, like the New Year’s Eve fireworks and London’s St Patrick’s Day Festival. You’ll also work on wider campaigns, such as those for Fourth Plinth, knife crime prevention, volunteering and more. You’ll lead on your own campaigns while offering tactical support to the Senior Marketing Officer on larger projects.

You should have experience of running audience facing campaigns.  You’ll also know how to tailor your marketing plans and content to the target audience.  You should be familiar with digital, social media, email marketing, media planning and buying, advertising, research, evaluation and branding. We’re looking for someone who knows the full channel mix. Your approach to work will be creative and flexible. You should also have a track record in running successful campaigns on time and to budget.

Here at City Hall, the marketing team runs like an internal agency, servicing all teams in the organisation. That means you should have good interpersonal skills. You should be an excellent communicator as you’ll be a key contact for stakeholders (internal clients), suppliers and agencies. With so much going on, you’ll need great project and time management skills and have an eye for detail.
