You’ll work collaboratively with local people and businesses, develop innovative ways to spread the word and share the stories that the Royal Docks has to tell. You’ll also help us to attract interest and visitors to this exciting part of London.

The opportunity

You’ll be raising the profile and growing awareness of the Royal Docks as a unique visitor destination. That means developing stand-out campaigns across the full marketing mix, including online and offline channels. You will also contribute to the development of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, including the establishment of the Royal Docks Marketing Partnership to deliver joint campaigns with major businesses, and education and transport providers. Rigorous planning and management will be key as well as experience of campaign optimisation and demonstrating the impact of your work.

The person

You’ll bring substantial experience of creating and delivering innovative, integrated marketing and communications campaigns. A good understanding of destination marketing, cultural tourism, regeneration and place-making is essential, along with up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing and social media. You’ll also need first-class copywriting skills and the ability to utilise audience insights and data. An exceptional communicator and influencer, you’ll be ready to engage the community and stakeholder groups in your plans.
