Project Support Officer (Regeneration Team)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the GLA’s Development, Enterprise and Environment Directorate to help drive this process. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery a wide range of spatial, employment generating, infrastructure and environmental projects as part of the Mayor’s Regeneration agenda. Working within the Regeneration Team, through the Good Growth Fund and Skills for Londoners Capital Fund, you will provide project support for place making, economic development, skills capital, workspace, crowdfunding and public realm projects across the whole of London. You will help to reshape London, playing a role in implementing the projects that will meet the Mayor’s vision and strategy for London as a 21st century city and a city for all Londoners.

 

Key skills for this role include excellent planning, administration and organisational skills, good communication skills, experience of relationship management and an ability to respond effectively to pressure and changing priorities. The role will include general admin support to the team’s programmes, financial support including placing purchase orders, support to the teams programme office in corporate reporting and the coordination of responses to public enquiries about the teams work and questions arising from the London Assembly. You will also have:-

  • Demonstrable ability and experience in the support of project delivery management
  • Well developed IT skills and experience of using financial or project management systems and processes
  • An awareness of the planning and political context of London including experience of economic development, planning and regeneration.

 

It is also important that the successful candidate understands the importance of good internal governance processes and programme management.

 

This position is being offered as a fixed term appointment or secondment opportunity.
